Yes, although on some occasions, an individual may resist hypnosis by another specific individual. although this is uncommon, it is a documented phenomenon.

You will feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed, and you may even be a little surprised at how deeply relaxed you feel and how quickly.  Hypnosis is merely a state of profound relaxation during which we become more susceptible to suggestion.  During hypnotherapy we use a technique of progressive relaxation, so we don’t really recognise the precise point at which we become hypnotized.

When people have emotional reactions under hypnosis, it is because they have sought help from a hypnotherapist to deal with certain emotional issues.  Those therapies are only available after detailed consultation, and the repercussions of which are always clearly explained to the individual concerned.

No.  Although we use the word “sleep” very often in hypnosis, you never actually go to sleep.  You will feel more relaxed than you ever have before, but you will still remain fully in control.

Most people expect not to remember anything when under hypnosis.  The reality is quite different, and the first time you are hypnotized, you will probably remember most of the session.  In subsequent sessions, you may remember less of what goes on, that’s because your conscious mind switches off since it has become familiar with the process of going into the hypnotic state. This feels a bit like day dreaming.

No, and there is no recorded case of this ever happening. Hypnosis is a profound relaxation; and it is impossible to get stuck in relaxation. If your recording should fail for whatever reason, you will either wake up or fall asleep.

No.  That is a myth popularised by some early Hollywood movies, but simply isn’t true.  Hypnosis cannot make anyone do anything that goes against their values and beliefs.

The sessions we record vary in depending on the induction used and the purpose of the session, but on average a session usually lasts about 40-45 minutes.

No, during hypnosis you do not fall asleep. It feels a bit like daydreaming. Even though we do use the word "sleep", it is actually a very deep state of relaxation rather than sleep. Nonetheless, you may find that you don't consciously remember the entire session.

Yes. Used correctly, by a trained Hypnotherapist, hypnosis is extremely safe.  All of our hypnosolutions have been recorded by a Certified Hypnotherapist, who is also a member of the Association of Ethical Professional Hypnotherapists.  Our scripts have been written using the latest techniques to provide the most effective solutions to your issues.
